For Jan. 25, Again

Doesn't hurt to say things again, I suppose.

But I'll post this for the first time here:

Congratulations to Nicole on the occasion of her
having two poems taken by Chiron Review!

Otherwise: I will get more specific regarding the
poems in the Fat Anthology, as I like to call it. And
by that I mean, I'll ask (by student) about them. So
read the poems mentioned below. They're all
interesting. Pretty easy reads--very accessible.

Everyone, again, I will call on folks, think of a question
for Louise. Remember this, and ask toward this. Louise
has a full length book that was published in 2004
called Lark Aprentice, and her next full length book
is forthcoming from Four Way. How does the chapbook
fit in? Why do one? What determines which poems go in
which books? Will the chapbook poems appear again? All
of them? Some of them? Also ask about the nature of the
work--issues we talked about in class about themes, motifs,
and language. And continuity through form. etc.

We will try to get through the single poems (we have
7 to go--we did 4 in class last Tuesday)
but do bring in your 5 to 8 selection (I suppose, Jeff,
you have already done that).

There's too much to do in this class!!!!!

We need to start looking at manuscripts.
