POSTED ON MARCH 3, (three minutes before
the 4 pm "deadline" . . .)

The poet dude is presently feeling a tad under the
weather--but what's new in this lovely do more work
for less pay universe we are evolving into . . .

The poet sits down, away from things, and writes
ten poems to "paint" the age--or sing of it--these
times they are a-changin' . . . but that's not me . . .
I've been mostly ranting (sort of) on my blog . . .

Remember to bring additional poems (on March 8),
although Kyle and Amanda and Erin have an extra
week since we've yet to look at their work . . .

Read Amira Baraka (starts on p. 997), Etheridge
Knight (968) and Gwendolyn Brooks (766).

Clayton Michaels is the next poet coming into
class, so I'll update you on that. Here's to hoping
you've got the book (or will soon) . . .

We will do the remaining poems and go to Kelcey's
reading, and use said reading as a springboard to
the whole idea of readings overall . . .

About 140 manuscripts came in today and yesterday.
No wonder my immune system's malfunctioning . . .
(50 more have come in, as of This Day (March 7) . . .
