JUST

Just remember to post poems, below, by March 12 (not the
10th). Below is the assignment, in bold: (NOTE: Here are
the folks who posted poems: Chad, Samantha, Alexis,
Elizabeth, Carly. There is still time, but not much . . .

Additionally, I received "reviews" of Analecta from
Courtney, Alexis, Samantha, Ashley, Elizabeth, and Justin
(these were due on March 5).

"Also. Post on blog a poem of yours you think is
successful and explain why.

Post a poem of yours that you feel ISN'T successful,
or that isn't "complete,"if that sounds easier to deal
with. Again, explain why this is, or where you feel you
are stuck--what's holding you back?  Due March 12."

Read THROUGH page 51 in Samyn book by March 3.
(now the 10th).  We still have to talk about this, So re-
fresh please . . .

A large part of the grading on these assignments is just
giving credit for them being done, and done well, yes.
But did a student complete all the small assignments
over the term, and were they finished on time? This
is what I consider, largely . . .

Bring Ryder's and Carly's poems (yes, we are a giving class,
so we will do these if we can--will go a bit faster than usual,
perhaps). (But--Ryder and Carly, are you out there some-
where?)

So mostly we'll just do various things--look at chapbooks,
manuscripts, and visit various other ideas (it's fun day, I
guess, so close to spring break). And with the threat of
snow!

However, let me say this about snow: what is the big deal with
snow? Why is everyone STILL acting like it's a problem to
drive in for example. I'm sick to death of it too, believe me, but
I drive an ancient Honda Civic with terrible, half functioning heat,
& park on a grassy hill (true, I park on top, but on sod--it's absurd),
and it's not stopped me from getting anywhere (yet!). Are we
living in Georgia, where it snows and everyone flips out and
crashes into whatever there is to crash into, screaming hyster-
ically?

But, still, it's snowing like crazy out, and, I guess, it is pretty
heavy-hitting, this storm. Also, as Samantha knows,
I am sick. Mid-day Tuesday, a cold came along and took up
residence in my head and chest, and this morning it's adding
additions, outdoor barbecuing, etc.

On the bright side, it goes back up to fifty degrees on Friday.
And spring break is upon us . . .

Anyway, all you need to do is post a couple poems and read
a bit of Samyn's work (and be able to say something about it)
for March 10. (Also look at the two packets of poems I men-
tioned above once more).

(I'll bring an example of page layout for the chapbooks as
well . . .)

See you then.
