NOTE


Just fyi. We'll start with the sets of poems first thing.

Order?

Jennifer, Jeff, John, Jessica, Karie . . .

Remember. Do these poems all fit together and how and in
what order? Should there be cuts? Try to see the form as
the form the poet is going to go with unless it's really not
doing anything. By the end of the book we should be jamming
along . . . Should sections come into play. If there seem to
be TWO KINDS OF POEMS coexisting how do we place them
all together . . . are there poems that work as moments of
reader relief (is that needed?). Sometimes length and
density works best when mixed with short lyric bursts
of simplicity. Humor, of the dazzle of rhetoric or fragment.
All the above things to consider . . .
