BLOG ASSIGNMENT 2


Follow this prompt, and then post the poem:

Write a twelve-fourteen line poem, the first draft of
which should be timed for 10 minutes. The title is this:

"Everything I Know Up Until Now"

Steal one (1) line from a poem you find in one of
our texts--Pushcart, single authored volumes, BAP,
and include the name of a male (Brian, Seymour)
if you are female and the name of a female if you
are male (Karen, Latisha)--it can be someone you
know or a fictional "character."

Include the pronoun "I" in the first two lines and
in the last two lines.

Include the name of an insect AND an article of
clothing.

It should be in couplets or quatrains.

Write the first draft, then revise it. I encourage you to
revise lightly, but it is up to you.

Post this poem on your blog by February 25 but
sooner would be really cool.
