NOTE

Note on this note: If you've already read this post, read it
again. I keep adding to it.

(There are now six blog links a few posts below.)

If a book is not available in the book store, but is clearly
available on Amazon, buy it. We live in enlightened times!
One can get books myriad ways! Watermark is available,
right now, for instance (and we won't be using it for a
month or more). So get it now. I looked at Cruz's book
(at Amazon) and there are a bunch of used copies (and
those arrive in your mailbox USUALLY in under a week).

Here's a link to Barnes and Noble where Cruz's book is
available.

Here's a link to a good literary mag online, Sixth Finch.

First blog assignment: Post a poem, one that really caught
your attention, from Cruz's The Glimmering Room. Under the
the posted poem, explain in 25 words why you like the poem
you chose. Make sure to give credit where credit is due. Note
the poet's name and the book the poem was published in, in-
cluding name of publisher.

This task is not due until February 5th. But do it asap, to prevent
work in this class from piling up. This also encourages you to
get your blog in place.

Also by Feb 5, post a poem from Keranen's The Afterlife is
a Dry County, with a comment. Of course, this assignment
presupposes you have a blog by Feb. 5. (Right now four people
have blogs that I'm aware of--email the link to yours when you
get one.)  The four links to blogs are a few posts down.
